the estuary is a point of transition - where the coastal stream meets the tide. salt bite & pine, sand & rich black mud, feather & scale. a powerful place of joining, transmuting. neither one thing nor the other, brackish bodies meeting and changing in like. the mixing is a haven; change creates fertile ground for life. a lush moment of becoming, that draws a diverse set of wildlife - different needs, different drives, fed by a common ground.
estuary tattoo is a celebration of that fertile, marshy ground where change and uncertainty lead to beauty and becoming.
