the estuary is a point of transition - where the coastal stream meets the tide. salt bite & pine, sand & rich black mud, feather & scale. a powerful place of joining, transmuting. neither one thing nor the other, brackish bodies meeting and changing in like. the mixing is a haven; change creates fertile ground for life. a lush moment of becoming, that draws a diverse set of wildlife - different needs, different drives, fed by a common ground. 

there are things we hope to embody and enact in tattooing - a sacred meeting place; a point of transition after which we are both truly the same, and changed forever; a physical mark; a brief eddy in the current of time; a psychic space to feed the soul in flux.

this moment in time leaves so many of us feeling powerless, without autonomy, with hope & creativity feeling trivial and dried up. we believe that tattooing provides a small, but pearl-bright & precious avenue through this murk. it allows you to -at least for a time- be extremely present in the moment and all its sensations. to invest tenderly in your vessel as it moves and shifts into the future. to be joyfully autonomous in a place of flow and constant renewal. to be so many creatures, drawn together in a common interest, acting and enacting in a shared ecology.
